Biography

My name is Andrey Solodovnikov. The craftsmanship of piano tuning have been very present in my family. It has been kept through 3 generations. I started working with pianos in 1992 and still work in this wonderful art. My company exists in Montreal since 2000. I've been working around in many festivals such as Festival de Jazz de Montréal, Festival Lanaudière, Osheaga, Festival de Musique de chambre de Montréal. I've worked for the Montreal Metropolitan Orchestra. Simultaneously working at the Pianos Prestige store I worked for le studio du Divan Vert, Mixart Studios, Studio Piccolo, Studio Fast Forward and many other private studios. I've worked a long time with Steinway pianos, Boston, Essex and other brands like Yamaha, Young Chang, Kawai. I have worked for the musical faculty of McGill University for 3 years. I had the chance to work for internationally renowned artists like Stevie Wonder, Oliver Jones, David Jalbert, Yundi Li, Wonny Son, Kenny Werner, Lorraine Desmarais, Matt Herskowitz, Alexander Solopov, Vladimir Gold Krassov, Victor Simon, Simon Sloutsker, just to name a few. I worked for trios, quintets, ensembles such as Ranee Lee trio, Mark Murphy, Sheila Jordan, Duo Garry Peacock and Dan Tepfer, Tiger Okoshi, Ingrid Jensen, Tom Harrel, Steve Swallow, Florence K, Bernard Primeau, Yannick Rieu, Trio Lajoie, Dmitri Hvorostovsky, Natalie Choquette, Désirée Till, Pierre MacLean. I worked during the production of the movie "Beyond Borders" starring Angelina Jolie. I am sorry for my clients that I haven't listed here there are many others. I worked for many churches such as St.Edmund of Canterburry. I tuned pianos for choirs like Anima Musica directed by Geneviève Boulanger. I work for many great private piano teachers, for Rudolf-Steiner school and for Upstairs Jazz Bar & Grill.

My Philosophy

I am proud to share my work with beginner piano players allowing them to benefit from a professional tuning and improve their playing.
